Working together to preserve our Central Coast Environment
Pink area at Summerland Point could be developed under the proposed Strategic Conservation Plan.

The exhibition of the Central Coast Strategic Conservation Plan has closed. CEN wishes to thank the hundreds of residents who wrote submissions opposing the plan.

CEN does not believe the plan in its current form has done enough to avoid or mitigate serious and irreversible impacts to our precious threatened and endangered flora and fauna. It should not be signed off by either the NSW Minister for Planning or the Federal Minister for the Environment.

Its dependence on offsetting is unacceptable.

Whilst the public consultation period is over our campaign to stop the plan continues.

We will be working through to at least June 2026 to convince both NSW Environment Minister, Penny Sharpe and Federal Environment Minister, Murray Watt, that they cannot sign off on this plan.

Watch this space for next steps in our campaign.
