Brief Aims of Group: CVA is a national, regionally based, incorporated, not-for-profit organisation managed by an independent board of directors. CVA aims to attract and manage a force of volunteers from the broader community in practical conservation projects for the betterment of the Australian environment. Many opportunities are available to support groups and land managers through our corporate partnerships and our programs which include 'Revive Our Wetlands', 'Shell Coastal Volunteers', 'Regional Delivery Support Program' and others. (See web page for more information)

Activities: Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) is Australia’s largest practical conservation organisation, managing more than 2000 conservation projects across Australia each year. Since 1982, CVA has managed well over 1.7 million volunteer days and has, amongst many other activities, also planted over 14 million trees as part of its directly managed teams of volunteers. Better Earth Volunteer Projects are scheduled every week of the year and also on weekends across the HCRCMA area. CVA teams undertake projects in partnership with landholders involving tasks such as weed removal, tree planting, seed collection, fence construction, track and trail building, bush regeneration, and also flora and fauna surveys. CVA also provides professional Bush Regeneration Services which are ideal for specialised projects where qualified environmental skills are needed - threatened species habitat protection, weed removal requiring skilled techniques where high level results are required.
