An uncommon and interesting species not often found in cultivation.

Soil
Prefers soils with some clay content and reasonable drainage but can tolerate a range of soils—Davesia does well on heavier shale based soils and can be found on alluvium and sandy soils but not often on sandstone.

Flower
Gold and maroon pea flowers late winter to early summer followed by brown triangular seed pods.
