Community Environment Network Projects

The mission of the Community Environment Network (CEN) is to work for Ecologically Sustainable Development or ESD and oppose threats to it. We have a range of ongoing projects and programs aimed at protecting and improving the environment of the NSW Central Coast and beyond.

Landcare Green Teams

The CEN supports groups of local landholders with weed control and revegetation through our Green Teams project.

Bush Regeneration

The Community Environment Network (CEN) is proud to offer the services of a professional Bush Regeneration Team.

Waterwatch

a citizen science program monitoring and protecting the health of local waterways and catchments.

Land for Wildlife

a voluntary property registration scheme for landowners who wish to manage areas for biodiversity and wildlife habitat.

Habitat for Wildlife

supporting urban landholders to conserve and improve habitats for wildlife and create wildlife corridors.

The Great Eastern Ranges Initiative

The Great Eastern Ranges Initiative brings people and organisations together to link and protect healthy habitats over 3,600km

Wild Watch

Central Coast Wildwatch is about connecting kids with nature by exploring our environment and monitoring our flora and fauna.

Platypus Watch

Central Coast Platypus Watch is a great way to learn about the health of our waterways, meet like-minded people and identify platypus hot spots.
