Bottlebrush (Callistemon)

Small woody trees and shrubs that are hardy and suited to most soil types, from damp to drought, they are also frost tolerant. An attractive plant that puts on a colourful display both when flowering and in its new growth, flowers appear in Spring and Summer with colours ranging from yellow to red, flowers are small with large stamens, making a bottle brush shaped flower spike. Attracts both birds and benificial insects.
