Swift Parrot Bird Survey Walk

Sutton reserve picnic area, Bateau Bay

• Come along on a guided bird survey with Central Coast Group Birding NSW.
• Observe and listen out for Swifty’s and other local birds.
• Learn their calls and how to identify them. Identify their feed trees, look for profusely flowering eucalypts (especially Swamp mahogany, Black butt and Spotted gum).
• Find out how to become a citizen scientist and contribute to bird data. Searches and sightings by birdwatchers are critical to scientific knowledge and conservation of the Swift Parrot.
