Nursery Talk: Biodiversity and Species Extinction – COP it to stop it

Are you worried about the loss of animals, plants and ecosystems? Do you want to find out what you can do about it?

Our October Nursery Talk is the perfect starting point. We will be explaining the Biodiversity COP (or Conference of the People) to be held in Armenia from October 19 to 30.

Jackie Pearson, CEN’s Liaison Officer, will present an overview of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, a global treaty established at the 1992 Rio Earth Summit.

Why is it important and what does it mean on the ground, right here on the Central Coast?

All attendees will receive a simple, easy-to-follow CENTRAL COAST BACKYARD BIODIVERSITY GUIDE AND ACTION CHECKLIST

All will be explained. Tickets are $10 including light refreshments and registrations is essential. Pay it forward, or pay what you can afford is also welcomed.
