 I do not support Council's moves to develop a Regional Airport for the following reasons: <li>impact on Porters Creek Wetland</li> <li>impact on over 15,000 residents</li> <li>concerns about expenditure of ratepayers funds</li> <li>there is no need for a regional airport with Newcastle airport less than 1 hour north</li> <li>lack of consultation, transparency and accountability</li>

 I request that Council refuse the Sect 96 modification to DA 1453/2016 as it relies on flood mitigation works to be undertaken by Council that have not been properly assessed. <ul>

In view of the importance of the SEPP 14 Porters Creek wetland, I call on Council to reject this proposal and prepare a full EIS with proper public consultation before considering flood mitigation works.
