We are pleased to have Kerrie Forrest from Central Coast Council attending to provide an overview of the Community Strategic Plan process and get your initial thoughts.
The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) represents the highest level of strategic planning undertaken by a local council. All other plans developed by the council as part of the Integrated Planning and Reporting framework must reflect and support the implementation of the Community Strategic Plan.
The CSP should identify the main priorities and aspirations of the community, providing a clear set of strategies to achieve this vision of the future. Central Coast Council has started the process of creating the first CSP for the whole of the Central Coast.
The CSP will capture the community’s vision for the Coast and identify social, economic and environmental priorities and long term strategies. It informs us and will guide local decision making over the next 10 years.
For Council, the CSP will be an overarching framework for all the work they do –including the Delivery Program and Operational Plans.
The Council is at the beginning of the process. This is an important opportunity to have your say about what you want the future of the Central Coast to be.
Come along and share your ideas and thoughts about where you live. What do you love about your suburb and the Central Coast? What would make it better? What are your ideas for the future?
